maybe i'll come up with a creative title later...

Here are just a few pictures that we've taken recently.  I'm trying to keep my camera with me to capture random moments...but its not really working.  lol 

I love this airplane sleeper, but it accidentally got organized into the 6 month clothing...so, to capture the moment, i took a few pictures!  (i guess over organizing is possible)

This week, Connor spent a few days with his Nunna (my grandmother) so i could observe at Siegel High School for one of my classes.  His favorite thing to do was watch lay on his palette and watch CMT.  lol

Recently, Connor has found his hand...which is great...but he ONLY wants his hand.  And while i'm not strictly against sucking thumbs or fingers, i don't really plan on advocating it.  But, it makes for cute pictures!

Tonight, i went through my mom's cedar chest looking for some clothes for Connor with family value...i didn't find much.  But, i did find this cute little beret which belonged to my Uncle Rue

This is just funny.  I wore this hat when i was 8 days old and had my picture taken with Santa Claus.  I didn't believe it would fit Connor, so we tried it on!  

"Mom, could you help me, please?"

2 nights ago, i heard Connor grunting and making funny noises...which really isn't that odd, but when i swaddled him 30 minutes earlier, he was not grunting...

i went into his room, and this is what i found

This is his, "hey mom!  could you help me please?  thanks!" look

I think he was over the pictures at this point...

Then, today, i put him in the bassinet this afternoon (on his side) and i walk into the room to find him on his belly!!

This is a great big thank you to Mistie Olsen for letting us borrow this GREAT swing!  This one is upstairs and he LOVES it!  the mobile has a globe that lights up!!  

(if you know my upstairs, you know that it is tiny i don't even know how i fit a swing up here)

Before the appointment

Even though he had to be woken up, he was all smiles for Dr. Jerry and Nurse Keisha

Incidentally, i didn't get any pictures of Connor getting his shots, but here is sleeping, which he did for the next 2 days!  

On Saturday our friend Sally had a baby shower and Connor got all dressed up in his BabyGap onesie from Aunt Sarah and his brand new Target jeans (plus his Robeez)

Well, there you go, that's what we've been up to!  Connor is all better from his shots and i'm working on finishing up this semester!  I can't wait for school to be over.  I'm totally over this whole homework thing and its so hard to try and get everything done when all i want to do is play with Connor!  I feel terrible when i have to put him in his swing just so i can get something done.  Granted, he LOVES his swing, but it still makes me sad : (

First Shots

Today was Connor's 2 month well-baby check up.  Everything is absolutely normal, which is always good to hear!  

The stats:

Length: 23 in. (50%)

Weight: 12lb. 3 oz (50%)

Head circumference: 10%

I guess he has a small head, which surprised me because his head doesn't look small...and when he was born, my doctor didn't think it was small either (...actually, my dr. wasn't so sure i was going to be able to push him out!)

After all the "fun stuff" (meaning that he didn't cry at all...he actually talked through most of the exam), then came the crying.  Did i say crying, i mean wailing.  He had to get 3 shots in his legs, which was terribly painful on his part and sad on mine, because there was nothing i could do to ease his pain....i had done all i could at home (Tylenol).  but, as my friend jamie pointed out, i'd much rather listen to him scream now when he's healthy than when he's in the hospital.
