CUT it out!

I would love to blog, but i feel like there's nothing fun to blog about.

No pictures tonight - BUT...

Connor is cutting his first tooth!!!  I first felt it last Friday, and it is slowly working its way beneath the gum.  I'm surprised at how well he's taking it.  He seems to be fine during the day, but i notice him getting fussy earlier in the evening.  (that also could be due to a whole week of early mornings).  and i don't care what any website, book or doctor says, children do have "symptoms" of cutting teeth.  my child has had an unexplained runny nose for a week - and then it will dry up, and then come back, etc!!  but besides that, he's handling it like a champ. i'm so proud of him, and so blessed!

note:  did you know that if adults cut teeth we would need prescription pain killers!  i'd say those babies have good reason to scream all night!  all they get is baby Motrin and Orajel!

well, i guess i found something to blog about!

To those of you who don't know, i recently deleted a rude - anonymous - comment from my "Go USA" post. This is the first problem i have had with comments, but from now on, if you are leaving an anonymous comment, please put your name in the comment or i will delete it.

and...this is my blog, so i will write/post whatever i want - and if you don't like it, don't read it. Please do not make inappropriate comments or they WILL be deleted.

time to lower the bed!

i don't know about you - or what you feel like it right - but i let Connor cry until he goes to sleep.  ...unless... he keeps crying & then i'll go and put his pacifier in his mouth and cover him up (but i only do this if he cries for a really really long time.  well, today, he cried for a really long time...and when we went to check on him, this is what we found...

I've been meaning to lower his mattress for a few days now - but seriously, it takes almost an hour!!!  they should really think about making that task simplier, and while they're at it, they should work on a quicker way to change the sheets!  but fear not, his mattress is as low as it can go...and i'm thinking he probably won't be able to get out of it for a few more years.  maddie had this crib until she was about that age & (i dont think) she ever figured out how to escape...i mean, climb out.

GO USA!

ok, so i have been a HUGE fan of the Olympics since the 1996 Summer Games!  so, in support of Team USA, connor crawled around on the ground while i was eaten alive by mosquito bites!

We hope you have time to sit, (relax), and watch the Olympic coverage on NBC

visit with the bolyards

this weekend connor & i went to have dinner with my best friend morgan & her family!  connor is so loved by all the bolyards, and i am so lucky to have them as my friends.  morgan's older brother eric just graduated with his masters from Notre Dame and morgan bought connor a #9 jersey!  well, being the picture taking mother that i am, eric had to put on his ND shirt & take a picture with Connor!!!

connor's 6 month check-up went off without a hitch.  well, there were the shots.  but once those were over, connor was asleep before we even got to the car! here are just a few photos from the "big day"

catching up

well, i was informed by my mother today that i needed to update my blog... why exactly the timeliness of my updates bother her, i'm not sure - considering that we live with her!  but, regardless, she is right...i do need to update.

life is busy busy busy!  connor recently began at a new daycare & i'm still at my new (but not so new) job.  this month i'll be working both full-time & part-time.  confusing?  yes.  basically, i'll be working all day, and the days i'm on the part-time schedule, i'll just work a little later.  this is kind of a bummer because that means a few days a week i don't get to pick connor up from daycare.  but, i still get to put him to bed, which is really important to me.

regarding our title tonight, i;m posting pictures of an assortment.

prunes!  one of our favorites

connor is definitely on the move!  i put him down on his "activity gym" & i found him under the coffee table!

this is C's "almost" crawl...he just doesnt understand that he can MOVE from this position!

We wish you all a wonderful Monday!
