Walden Farms

i read on Alison's blog about Walden Farms in Smyrna, so on Saturday, mom and i met jeff, amanda and owen and made the trip to smyrna to see some pumpkins (and take a lot of pictures).  Best of all - its free!!!

connor was definitely a trooper considering that going to the pumpkin patch meant little to no morning nap.  that is why he isn't smiling in many of the pictures!  and owen did great even though he's been fighting a nasty nasty ear infection!  we had a blast and hope to go again next year when the are both walking and can enjoy more of the activities.

Owen still needs some help sitting up, but will be taking lessons from Connor soon

He loved playing with the pumpkins.  Even tried to eat a few!

visit with the bolyards

this weekend connor & i went to have dinner with my best friend morgan & her family!  connor is so loved by all the bolyards, and i am so lucky to have them as my friends.  morgan's older brother eric just graduated with his masters from Notre Dame and morgan bought connor a #9 jersey!  well, being the picture taking mother that i am, eric had to put on his ND shirt & take a picture with Connor!!!

6 mo check-up pictures

for those of you who are wondering, i'm doing much better.  i had a terrible cough, but dr.collins write me a script for a z-pack and i'm on my way to  100%.  being a sick mom is much harder than i ever thought it would be!

connor's 6 month check-up went off without a hitch.  well, there were the shots.  but once those were over, connor was asleep before we even got to the car! here are just a few photos from the "big day"

j u l y 4 t h

oh wow!  this has been a crazy month and we are only a few weeks in!  i started my new (full-time) job on July 1st.  i'm only full time in july & i'm looking forward to august when i get a day or two off each week.  i never knew how hard it would be to leave connor every day.  i may act like it doesn't make me sad, but it does.  :(

on another note, a great big THANK YOU to alison from connor & i.  we can't wait to order our maggie moos mom appliqued shirt!  ...now, just to decide what to get...

finally, our 4th of july festivites.  they actually began on july 3rd where we went to our friends the castle's.  wade does a HUGE fireworks show near barfield park & it was awesome!  we were so close, and it was so bright, i debated going to the car to get my sunglasses.  but, i didn't want to miss one second.  sadly, connor misses these - he was inside asleep (slept right through them!!)

on july 4th we were lazy!  it was a-mazing!  my mom was wonderful & took care of connor so i could sleep in :) and we literally did nothing all day.  i know that doesn't sound productive, but it was much needed in this household.  i was getting used to waking up before dawn.  and connor has been getting used to nap times that arent in his bed.  its an experience for all...

i may have forgotten my camera on the 3rd, but i grabbed it for the 4th!  our family stopped by my grandmother's work to visit our nunna (and all the sweet old people) and then we headed to MTSU for connor's first fireworks!

Connor playing on the blanket - he was everywhere!

i just love this
he was trying to grab the camera
(typical connor)

not really sure what happened to this - but i still love it

aunt morgan came to hang out while nick hung out with his friends!
we love her!

when the fireworks started (very intrigued)

after the fireworks -
actually, about half way through.

Connor may be a stubborn nap taker, but when he is sleepy he will sleep through ANYTHING!!!

We hope you enjoyed your holiday!  More updates soon!

those summer nights (or days)

Connor recently had his first swim of the summer!  His floaty is a little big being that he can't actually sit up by himself, but we still had a grand time even though the pictures don't look like it.

There are more pictures that my friend Katie took, but she's going to have to email them to me.  Hope you all are having a great summer!

Here are the pictures from our wonderful photographer Katie (and a few Kelsey or Lauren took)
The group!

This is out of chronological order - post swim

This time, Connor spared showering her in spit up

an array of fun

Nothing very exciting is going on in the Minor house.  Although, Connor was kicking way too much water out of his baby tub, so we have switched to a sponge in the bathtub & Connor just met my good friend Margaret Choo - who has been at Vanderbilt, and not around to meet the baby, we had so much fun with her!
(the middle picture is just random)

As some of you know & some of you don't our dear friend Lauren is sick, and will have to spend many days at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital while undergoing chemo treatments.  I made a sign for her...but Connor wasn't really into holding it...he would rather eat it!

Hope you're enjoying the wonderful weather!
Rebekah

p.s.-if any of you readers have to know of anyone who would like to sell or lend us their Rainforest Jumperoo we would take really really good care of it!
