Thanksgiving 2008 (albeit a bit late)

yes, ladies & gents, this is the Thanksgiving post...only a month late (or more).  Here are the pictures of the day.  We had a lot of fun with the close family.  They were thrilled to share in Connor's first Thanksgiving!  This was also the first day Connor ate "big boy" food from the table, but i still fed him.  I like feeding him - that means he's still my baby :)

There's also a few fun things that i think are worth sharing since i think Connor is so darn cute!

Thanksgiving morning - playing in the saucer

Nunna coming in with the Dressing - YUM!!

morning snack: Cheerio's!!

talking (probably to himself)

Laughing at Mimi (our wonderful photographer at the time)

waiting on the real food, not just the bread

Connor's middle name should be MISCHEVIOUS...that's what he is!!

Here begins the pictures that are not necessarily from Thanksgiving, but are still cute!

Might be Thanksgiving even...can't remember.
getting so big!!!

Wondering why the drum is making noise...even though he just pitched it on the floor...wonder why??
Hanging out on the shoulders of Uncle Tyler. so fun!

Does this remind anyone else of Yogi Bear?  because it does me!

happenings as of late

wow!  i realize that every time i log on to post, i write about how i keep forgetting to post or i'm just so busy!  but, REALLY i am!  regardless, i should really do better, because i'm beginning to learn that people actually read this :)

well,  i haven't uploaded the most recent pictures yet - like the ones of Connor rolling over!! Yes, he did!  today!  he was lying on his back and would roll onto his side and finally flipped over.  although, upon rolling over, his face was buried in the blanket and he cried but mom and i were excited!  (may i say, this was not a quick process...this lying-flipping-rolling sequence took about 15 minutes)

anyway, here are some pictures from Mother's Day...

At Mimi's Cafe at the Avenue Murfreesboro

The Whole Family

Poor Connor fell asleep after lunch - but woke up ready to play in his papasan chair!

This is probably one of my favorite things
I found this romper at Cracker Barrel
and hinted that i wanted it for Connor all through April and May!
Well, he got it!  and i couldn't help but take some pictures

And last but not least -
Now, i realize that the American Association of Pediatrics (or whomever) recommends that children not watch TV, but Connor always seems to find it...regardless of our discouragements

Sorry this post was so long, but there were a lot of really important people with me on my very first Mother's Day.  It was an awesome day that i got to spend with my family and a day i devoted to loving on my baby boy!  So often, we get busy with life that we don't get enough time just to hang out with no worries.  Sure, we see each other as 5 am when i feed him, but thats not a happy time - this is a sleepy time.  So, it was so fun just to spoil him for a day with all the love, hugs and kisses!

God Bless!

Connor's First Easter!! FUN!

I've been slacking on blogging this week!  School has been awful!  and when i say awful i mean, "i think to myself daily (no, hourly) why didn't i take this semester off?" PLUS, i have misplaced the battery charger for my camera...oops!

anyway, here is our wonderful Easter Sunday!  we had so much fun...i think Connor makes every holiday more exciting!

Connor woke up Sunday morning and (obviously) "crawled" to his Easter basket...and by crawling i mean, i put him on his stomach and he preceeded to scream bloody murder

Then, he miraculously ended up on the ottoman of his glider rocker
(fear not, he was well supervised)

Connor's Easter basket.
I must say, i did make it myself (with a bit of help from my mom).
Mom always made our baskets, so i have a lot to live up to.

i think there was enought wrap to last us 2 more easters!

First cell phone...(found at Kohl's for less than $2)

Connor's Mimi found this book for his Easter basket!

is that a smile i see?  indeed!  the only smile of the morning!

Connor made his first official appearance at Belle Aire sunday morning, and we found a twin!  Our friend Colleen bought this dress from American Eagle, and its a perfect match!

We ate at Bell Buckle Cafe and then came home for the good old family photos!  Here we are: Nunna, Mimi (my mom), myself, Connor, and Tyler (my brother)

Next, we opened presents from Mimi
(any excuse mom can find to buy a present, she does)

She also got him Disney's 101 Dalmatians.  Apparently, i was more excited than he...

Every year we have an Easter egg hunt for my and my brother (we get money instead of candy :)   And this year, Connor got to join in!  He was asleep, but he got 6 quarters to add to his piggy bank!

He fell asleep after the 2nd egg and went inside to hang out with his Great Nunna

My best friend Morgan and her boyfriend Nick came to help us find our eggs!  It took all 4 of us an hour and a half to find all the eggs!
(one is still missing...)

We fell into a bush trying to get the last egg...mom was more concerned about the bush.

Baby's 1st Easter outfit.  love it!  Little Bunnies for the feet!! so sweet!

Probably my favorite thing about this little outfit from Target is the hiney!
I guess he really was a rabbit that day,
except he didn't eat any carrot or rapidly procreate (thank goodness)

Sorry for the terrible long post, but we had a very full day!
